Business Description

Maggie and her husband, Ed, came to Sea Isle on day trips during college years at Rowan University, formerly Glassboro State College. Their friends all went to Ocean City but Maggie and Ed liked Sea Isle better.

They married and moved to Sea Isle in 1972 and raised their four children and many, many animals here. Maggie began her career in real estate in 1981 and started working at Avalon Real Estate in Sea Isle for Will and Jean Chapman. She later moved to Pleasure Realty. In 1987 she and Ed bought Sofroney Real Estate.

They met many wonderful people through those years and ended up helping the children and grandchildren of many clients. They were favorites of Jay Lamont and appeared on his show numerous times. Ed has built many quality homes in Sea isle through the years and has many repeat clients. In 2009 Ed suffered a massive heart attack while consulting in Maryland. While he was in the hospital there having 4 bypasses, Maggie got a call from Don Laricks asking her to move the business to his office. Ed recovered, they merged with Laricks and it has been great for everyone involved!
